Joey & Jordan, two ultra-talented busking artists, became friends in 2019 and formed the supergroup Baxter Elkins. Baxter Elkins also entered the NPR Tiny Desk Contest, and if it hadn't been for a slight miscommunication regarding time zones, we're confident they would have won. "Werewolves" is one of the band's absolute masterpieces, created for a radio broadcast for Halloween. Joey and Jordan bring their combined talents to Baxter Elkins.
Growing up, Jordan was influenced by Townes Van Zandt and Willie Nelson, which explains how a surfer became hooked on country music. Joey illustrates how country music has found a home in Los Angeles, a metropolis of 10 million people.
Both artists's musical philosophy is based on an eclectic combination of classic and modern elements. The guys began touring Lake Tahoe on June 13th, 2021 and traveled via Nevada, Wyoming, Pagosa Springs, and Utah.
