PARIS, FRANCE: Bravo reality series 'Real Girlfriends in Paris' aired its first two episodes on September 5. Reminiscent of 'Emily in Paris', the show revolves around six young women who are hunting for love in France's capital.

The six women, Victoria Zito, Anya Firestone, Adja Toure, Kacey Margo, Margaux Lignel and Emily Gorelik, argue that their show differs not only from 'Emily in Paris,' but also from other Bravo franchises like 'Real Housewives' and 'Below Deck,' since they are actual friends, and they also assert that as expats living in the city, they provide a more accurate perspective of Parisian life. Disguising ranch dressing in your purse, being concerned about the carbohydrates in la soupe, and wondering whether they'll ever meet a French boyfriend who enjoys Netflix are just a few of the problems the characters encounter in the first episode of 'Real Girlfriends in Paris.'

'Real Girlfriends in Paris': Margaux Lignel talks about her 'long dry spell' and finding love in Paris

They all share a love of Paris and a singular view of the city. Margaux grew up in Paris and has divorced parents who still live there. When her father came to visit, she complained that he was now only paying her 2,000 (currency not mentioned on show) per month when 'I used to have 10,000.' Her dream is to establish an agency that represents new artists, but she is 'afraid of failure.' Margaux also complained about not having sex since August over a Thanksgiving dinner.

Bisexual Victoria broke into tear while talking about her planned date with a woman and other girls affectionately hug her. Anya is a French government-licensed art historian who gives tours, but she appears to be more interested in her large shoe collection. Adja claims she was chosen for the show as a consequence of 'karmic energy', saying she has been sending out positive vibes. Kacey, who studied French at her Los Angeles high school, now teaches English and plays computer games she created from her big chest.

Emily Gorelik dropped out of New York University to pursue her dream of starting a new life abroad. She has known Anya the longest out of the friend group and feels "adopted" by her. She fell in love with Paris at first sight and has been working hard to make a life in the lovely city. According to the show, she was also studying luxury design management and hoped to move her mother's interior design firm to a foreign location.
