MANORVILLE, NEW YORK: Long Island police have been looking for two teenagers who have disappeared after last being spotted catching a train to Manhattan on December 9. Couple Kaileigh Catalano and Vincent Abolafia, both 15, were to catch an afternoon train from Ronkoma to New York, according to Suffolk County Police. Their families reported them missing later that evening. Desperate pleas for leads on the whereabouts of the couple are being made on social media as both remained missing on Monday, December 13.

Gabby Petito's father has been drawn to the case and he tweeted on behalf of the missing teens' families, calling upon public help to find them. "They're just kids," tweeted Joseph Petito on Monday morning. "#VincentAbolafia, #KaileighCatalano need to be found. Please remember what they look like." He also shared an image that shows Catalano's hair photoshopped to black, the color her mother believes she dyed it to. Abolafia and Catalano left their phones and vaccine cards behind before hitching a ride to Ronkoma from a friend who confirms to have dropped them off at the train station after school. The friend told their parents he was under the impression that they wanted to go see the Rockefeller Center's Christmas tree

Where are Vincent Abolafia and Kaileigh Catalano?

Boyfriend and girlfriend Abolafia and Catalano were supposed to take the 3:11 pm train to Manhattan on December 9 but were seen at the train station after 5 pm. Abolafia's stepdad James Bonasia says the couple was spotted in Manorville by witnesses later in the evening. The couple who've left their vax cards behind is believed to be anywhere but NYC which requires proof of vaccination for everyone over age 5, their parents say. Catalano's father Joe believes the teens might be in danger. "Long Island and the city are two different animals," he said. He said he believed the teens could have around $1,200 and was unaware if duo knew anyone in the city. Bonasia too is hoping for the kids who he brought to see the Rockefeller tree a weekend before they went missing, to come back. "Their family loves them and misses them, and all we want is for them to come home safe," he said.

“We have no idea,” Ehrin Catalano said. “Neither of them left bad notes at home and we have no idea where they could be going.”

According to a Fox report, Vincent is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs around 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Kaileigh is 5 feet tall and 118 pounds, police said. Catalano's aunts have been making desperate pleas on Facebook for their niece and her boyfriend to come back, attached below is a video posted on Monday night, a full four days after the teens first went missing. Anyone with information on the teens’ location is asked to call 911 or Suffolk County Police Department’s Seventh Precinct detectives at 631-852-8752.
