HOUSTON, TEXAS: Mike Gabler won 'Survivor' Season 43 with his imperative strategies. The heart valve specialist became the sole survivor after defeating frontrunner Jesse Lopez in a fire-making competition. Gabler earned a spot in the top three against Cassidy Clark and Owen Knight. Additionally, the heart valve specialist became the second-oldest person to ever win the 'Survivor' after Robert 'Bob' Crowley.

Mike Gabler in 'Survivor' Season 43
Gabler struggled with the strategies of the show at the start but eventually, he got all the planning and won an immunity challenge. After his first win, Gabler never sit back and formed close relationships with every member who ended up on the jury. Despite playing a low-key game, he ended up winning the game. However, after the final tribal council, Gabler announced that he would donate his $1 million 'to people who fought for our country like his family members.' Notably, he became the first winner in Survivor history since its first year in 2000 to donate the entire prize to charity. Currently, he is supporting the veteran community with this gift, specifically in PTSD and mental health, under his dad’s name, Army veteran and Green Beret Robert Gabler.

After winning the huge prize and gifting it for the better, Gabler gets back to his family in Meridian, Idaho. 'Survivor' winner spends most of his time outdoors which he also showed off on his social media. After donating his entire prize, Gabler returns to the local hospital.
