BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Linda appeared on Season 9 of 'Botched' seeking a solution for her long-standing issue with an umbilical hernia. Doctors Nassif and Dubrow approved her request for surgery and performed the operation to address her years-long problem. Linda's struggle with the umbilical hernia began at birth when her intestines and umbilical cord formed a large sack on her stomach, creating a distorted appearance.

On the show, she bravely shared her journey, expressing her attempts to embrace her body despite facing negative reactions from the public. Linda regretted the times when people stared and pointed at her, making it challenging for her to feel comfortable in her own skin.

Seeking assistance, she turned to the renowned "Botched" doctors for a solution. The surgeons empathized with Linda's story and approved her surgery, providing not only a physical transformation but also emotional healing.

Who is Linda on 'Botched' Season 9?

Linda was born with a birth defect known as an umbilical hernia, causing her intestines to have a twisted appearance. This condition deeply affected Linda's early life, as she shared on 'Botched' where she sought medical assistance from doctors Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow.

Linda opened up about the emotional impact of her birth defect, revealing that her mother was traumatized by her birth to the extent that she couldn't bring herself to look at Linda's stomach. Linda disclosed that her mother constantly urged her to conceal and hide her stomach due to its distorted appearance. Growing up with this challenge took a toll on Linda's self-esteem, and she struggled with the fear that others might not accept her as she was.

During her appearance on the show, Linda became emotional as she recalled the difficult experiences from her past. The memories of her mother's reaction and the ongoing struggle with self-esteem brought tears to her eyes. Seeking the expertise of the doctors on the show, Linda hoped to find a solution that would not only address the physical aspects of her condition but also provide emotional healing and acceptance for herself.

Why do Dr Terry Dubrow and Dr Paul Nassif turn down patients on 'Botched'?

On 'Botched,' not everyone requesting plastic surgery gets approval, and Drs. Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif, the renowned surgeons on the show, turn away around 10% of potential patients. According to Dr. Nassif, one reason for rejection is when individuals have unrealistic expectations about the outcomes of plastic surgery, as disappointment is likely even with high-quality treatment.

Another factor leading to rejection is when patients desire extremely radical surgeries that could pose physical or psychological risks. Dr. Nassif emphasized that they prioritize the safety and well-being of patients and won't perform surgeries that may harm them.

Additionally, the personal relationship between the doctor and the patient plays a crucial role. Dr. Nassif mentioned to Celebuzz that it's essential for the doctor to like the patient and feel comfortable operating on them. If red flags are raised or if the doctor doesn't establish a positive rapport with the patient, they may opt not to proceed with the surgery.

Ultimately, both the doctors and patients should feel a sense of trust and comfort for any plastic surgery procedure to take place on 'Botched.'
