LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dance Moms' alum Brooke and Paige's mother Kelly Hyland has been enjoying her life with her daughters and a son, Josh. She frequently shares her life updates on social media, often featuring her children. She now co-hosts 'Because Moms Said So' podcast with Lifetime show alums, Holly, Melissa, and Jill.
Lifetime recently allowed viewers to revisit some of the explosive and heated moments between the dancers, their mothers, and instructor Abby Lee Miller in the new episodes of 'Dance Moms: Epic Showdown'. The 'Dance Moms' alums demonstrated their solidarity by walking out of the dance studio to support Kelly.
During Season 4, Kelly was kicked out of the Big Apple Dance Studio after an altercation with Abby after the dance instructor called out Brooke Hyland for not improvising her moves. However, the mothers wanted Abby to invite Kelly back, and in solidarity, they led the dancers out of the studio. Abby was left stunned when she discovered the empty studio.
However, after investigating and reviewing the CCTV footage, Abby discovered that the mothers were in the parking lot.
Abby Lee Miller slams 'Dance Moms' alums over 'unprofessional' act
After the dramatic pyramid walkout, Abby Lee Miller reached out to them and tried to convince them to return to the studio as the National competition was approaching. She pointed out that the girls needed rehearsal time, especially since many of them had solo performances.
However, the moms continued to avoid Abby until she reached her breaking point. Abby furiously called out their 'unprofessional' behaviour. Abby said, "If you doing this for Kelly you're fool." She added, "This is completely unprofessional. Do you think that your kids gonna go on and work professionally after this behaviour that's ridiculous."
Kelly Hyland recalls her and Abby Lee Miller's physical feud
'Dance Moms' alum Kelly Hyland recalled the explosive physical altercation between her and Abby Lee Miller which led to her daughters Brooke and Paige's departure from the Lifetime show. During the latest Reunion, Kelly tearfully shared her regrets about the altercation and noted, "I feel like that’s my fault, that we left because I lost my temper."
The Lifetime show alum added, "I pretty much felt guilty for the past 10 years of my life. Since that day happened." Kelly told her daughters that she always felt like she "ruined your life and your dance career." The mom of two later claimed that the departure from the show changed her life and also was the reason behind her divorce.
Kelly explained, "It changed my whole world. I mean, I ended up getting divorced, separated from my husband." She further suggested that she would be still together with her ex-husband if they continued to star on the Lifetime show.
