LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dance Moms' star Abby Lee Miller has dedicated her life to coaching young dancers, who consider the choreographer a mother figure. She garnered fame through starring in the Lifetime series and has also been entangled in controversy, served time in prison, and most recently, faced a diagnosis of cancer.
Abby has dedicated her entire life to the dance studio and remained unmarried. However, the Lifetime show alum did fake an engagement for her mother, Maryen Lorrain Miller. In January 2014, the dance instructor shared a cozy photo with actor Michael Padula, captioning it, 'I do!!!'
However, Abby later revealed that she faked the entire relationship so that her mother could die in peace knowing that her daughter was loved. 'Dance Moms' alum's mother died from colon cancer in 2014. Abby faked her relationship a second time with Jordan "Jordy" Rodriguez but this time for the Lifetime show.
She introduced Jordan on 'Dance Moms' Season 7, Episode 16, and showcased their staged chemistry to the world. However, the fake relationship ended shortly after the episode premiered, with Jordan confessing that they were just friends
Abby Lee Miller reflects on being single
'Dance Moms' star Abby Lee Miller remained single after faking her relationships twice. In an interview with ET, Abby disclosed the reason for her single status. The Lifetime show alum asserted in 2017 that she hasn't met anyone worthy of a relationship. She shared with the outlet, "My problem is my standards are too high."
The Lifetime show alum explained. "I have really high standards and in my mind, I'm young, I'm like 22, 23, 24... that's, like, the age." Additionally, Abby doesn't regret not having her own kids. After she was asked about wanting to start her own family, Abby responded, "Well, that time has come and gone." She added, "Thank you for thinking I’m so young. But I feel like I’ve raised so many children."
Will Abby Lee Miller return in 'Dance Moms: Epic Showdowns'?
'Dance Moms: Epic Showdowns' is set to premiere following a two-hour special reunion. Hosted by Christi Lukasiak, the half-hour episode will delve into the most explosive dance battles and jaw-dropping meltdowns from the series.
However, Lifetime has yet to confirm if Abby Lee Miller will return in the upcoming spinoff in person but fans could expect to watch her throwback dramatic moments. The episodes will also include the confrontations of moms and the dance instructor.
