LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The five 'Shark Tank' investors jumped on board for the Cup Board Pro after the kids of late fireman Keith Young, who died from cancer, fulfilled his ambition by pitching his invention to the globe. Now that ABC viewers are ready to get an update on the firm on episode 14, let's take a look at how it is currently doing.

Before we get into our Cup Board Pro update from Season 10 of 'Shark Tank,' let's take a look at the heartbreaking story of a New York City firefighter and his family. In this sad pitch, three brothers attempted to land a contract for their father's product. However, their father is no longer living due to cancer, which was most likely caused by 9/11 cleaning activities in New York. After an emotional speech and an encouraging video from their father before his death, the Sharks were given Cup Board Pro demos, allowing them to witness it for themselves. Scroll down to get a quick recap of the pitch and where the company is standing now.

What happened during their time on ‘Shark Tank’?

Turning their attention to financial figures, the Sharks wanted to know how much it costs to manufacture a single Cup Board Pro unit. The three siblings said that a single unit costs just under $13 and that they are presently being offered online for $40 per unit on their website. While they only had 300 sales at the time of their 'Shark Tank' pitch, the product had just been on the market for three weeks, and they had 2,000 units in stock. In a startling turn of events, the Sharks requested time to themselves inside the 'Shark Tank'. The three siblings waited silently in the hall before returning to hear the sharks' offer. The five Sharks banded together and committed to a single agreement of $100,000 for 20%, as well as a promise to contribute all future proceeds to a family charity.

Where is Cup Board Pro now and how is the company faring today?

Let's take a look at how things went following 'Shark Tank' for the Cup Board Pro upgrade that everyone has been waiting for. Following their debut on 'Shark Tank', sales of the Cut Pro Board immediately surged. The approximately 1700 units on hand sold out in minutes. Within days of airing, almost $2 million in back orders were received. After appearing on 'Shark Tank,' the firm earned a decent number of sales, selling over 20,000 units. Within 18 hours of the broadcast, 26,000 products were on backorder, according to Sony Pictures Television, the show's producer. The amount of sales exceeded $1 million.

The Sharks and the Youngs appear to have their work cut out for them! They were talking with manufacturers as of January 2019. As of April 2019, their website states that "pre-orders" are being accepted. On the May 2019 episode of Season 10, the Youngs get an update segment. During the segment, the Sharks give a check to a firefighter charity representing their cut of the proceeds. Some of their success can be attributed to a license agreement negotiated by Daymond with Williams-Sonoma. Williams-Sonoma handles production and distribution in addition to selling cutting boards in its 600+ locations. These are also available on Epicurean's website. With over $1,000,000 in sales recorded for 2019, the firm did well and remained profitable.

The firm appears in the "Greatest Businesses with a Social Cause" episode of 'The Shark Tank Greatest of All Time Special' in February 2020. They are still in business and made $3 million in annual sales as of July 2022. In Season 14, episode 14, the business receives a second update part. The company is still in operation today, albeit the units frequently run out of stock due to high demand and insufficient supply.
