LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dance Moms: Epic Showdowns' star Cathy Nesbitt-Stein remains the proud owner of the Candy Apples Dance Center in Canton, Ohio. Just recently, she celebrated Mother's Day alongside her daughter, Vivi-Anne Stein.

Cathy has dedicated her social media to revealing the behind-the-scenes of 'Dance Moms'. Her relationship with Abby Lee Miller, the owner of ALDC, has been marked by rivalry. While Cathy was once a member of the 'Dance Moms' cast and part of the ALDC studio, their relationship soured after she departed from ALDC and turned against Abby and her studio.

Abby and Cathy consistently clashed, particularly during competitions. However, during an episode, Cathy continuously provoked Abby while she was watching her dancers' routine. She walked into the ALDC dressing room and called her dancers' routine worst. When Abby confronted Cathy about her remarks, Cathy intensified her rant, branding Abby as a hypocrite.

Why did Cathy Nesbitt-Stein quit 'Dance Moms' ALDC?

Candy Nesbitt-Stein made her debut on 'Dance Moms' when she and her daughter Vivi Nesbitt-Stein joined the Abby Lee Dance Company. At the time, Cathy was still running the Candy Apples Dance Center but wanted Vivi to join the ALDC. The mother-daughter dance duo appeared on 'Dance Moms' from 2011 until 2017.

Cathy's strained relationship with Christi Lukasiak, the mother of Chloe and Clara Lukasiak, made it difficult to maintain their association with the studio. After Cathy and Vivi departed from ALDC in the first season, Cathy and her studio, Candy Apples, became rivals to Abby Lee Miller's dancers in numerous competitions.

Abby Lee Miller and Cathy Nesbitt-Stein reunite after years of rivalry

'Dance Moms' alum Abby Lee Miller and Cathy Nesbitt-Stein might have been years-long enemies but they recently put their rivalry to an end. They have made efforts to reconcile, and in November 2022, the duo reunited at the ALDC dance studio where Abby introduced Cathy as her 'dear friend.'

Cathy later elaborated on the reasons behind her fallout with Abby, explaining that as the show grew in popularity, there was pressure for everyone to entertain more for the camera, which led to her fallout with Abby.

She shared in the confessional. "Our relationship did take a toll." They reunited and also discussed some of the explosive moments as well as their heated arguments in 'Dance Moms'. However, Abby was not the only one who repaired her relationship with Cathy. Christi also called Cathy the 'best dance mom' of the Lifetime show.
