Why did Abby Lee Miller walk out from 'Dance Moms' reunion? Lifetime producers try to bring back instructor in 'Epic Showdowns'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dance Moms' star Abby Lee Miller has been known for leaving the room after a slight drama. However, the ALDC owner infamously walked out from the stage during the Season 8 Reunion after the cast member brought up the name of her rival, Tammy Croftcheck, who owns Studio 19.
Abby and Tammy had been feuding for years which got intense in Season 8 after the Studio 19 owner suggested that Abby needed plastic surgery. Meanwhile, during the reunion, Ashley Allen said, "Let's talk about Tammy." Abby immediately said, "Am I finished now? Do I get to leave?"
The Lifetime show cast didn't respond to Abby and she seemingly took the silence as a yes. The dance instructor waved goodbye to the crowd and exited the stage. "She does it all the time." The moms then explained that they were not allowed to say Tammy's name.
The Lifetime show producers and the moms then went backstage to convince Abby to return to the stage. When she was asked why she wouldn't talk about Tammy. Abby responded, "Because I'm not gonna be on a show where you're talking about someone that is potentially a competitor in Pittsburgh."
Abby Lee Miller asks Michelle Georgiana to clean ALDC floor
'Dance Moms' alum Sarah's mom Michelle Georgiana has been famously dubbed as a 'studio hopper' since Sarah has danced for both Studio 19 and the ALDC. However, during Season 8, Abby Lee Miller's rival studio sent gifts for Michelle and Sarah and wished them luck for their future after they left Studio 19 and joined the ALDC.
Abby was furious after she saw the rival studio's gifts and thought that Michelle wanted to return to Studio 19. However, the dance instructor kicked Sarah off the studio and claimed that she could give a chance to Michelle and her daughter. Abby then asked Michelle to clean the studio's photo frame and floor. Michelle was quite desperate to remain with Abby and accepted her embarrassing punishment for her daughter's future.
'Dance Moms' producers insist JoJo Siwa to call Abby Lee Miller
'Dance Moms' alums recently reunited for an explosive reunion without instructor Abby Lee Miller. The Lifetime show alums agreed to appear at the reunion only if the producers didn't invite the dance instructor. The performers have a turbulent relationship with Abby and they didn't want to relive the trauma.
However, JoJo Siwa revealed that the Lifetime show producers tried to put her up to something 'shady' on the day of filming. In an episode of her podcast, JoJo revealed that the producers "kept wanting me to call Abby" while they were filming.
She later admitted that the request seemed 'shady' as many of the girls don't speak to their former dance teacher. JoJo noted, "Paige, Brooke, and Chloe don’t have any [relationship with Miller], and it is not a healthy end of a relationship. It is very messy." She added, "It is very traumatic on both ends."
'Dance Moms: Epic Showdowns' premieres on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on Lifetime.
