NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Who's Afraid of a Cheap Old House?' will premiere on May 14 at 10 pm ET. HGTV brings a brand-new home renovation show featuring stunning historic abodes with outstanding and antique architecture.

Historic preservationists Elizabeth and Ethan Finkelstein return to host the upcoming spinoff of the show 'Cheap Old Houses'. The Finkelsteins searched for houses that are old and inexpensive, but ripe for preservation, and featured the properties on their website and social media.

However, HGTV renewed and revamped their show last year and asked Instagram followers to vote on a new title. The upcoming show returns with totally a new format. This season, Elizabeth and Ethan would help homebuyers find old properties being sold at ridiculously inexpensive prices and restore the architectural gems to their new glory.

What is 'Who's Afraid of a Cheap Old House?' about?

The upcoming HGTV show 'Who's Afraid of a Cheap Old House?' will follow Elizabeth and Ethan Finkelstein as they help the homeowners start their renovation process and collaborate with designers to give each home modern updates while preserving the antiques.

In each of the eight episodes, Elizabeth and Ethan will show home buyers two listings priced at under $150,000 with historic and unique architecture. However, the listings will not only be limited to style as the homeowners will be surprised with gingerbread porches, antique fireplaces, leaded glass windows, authentic wood floors and vintage appliances.

Elizabeth and Ethan will help potential homebuyers to restore and preserve homes, including Tudor, Colonial Revival, Queen Anne and Craftsman. The couple will also take on unconventional projects, including an old church and a firehouse.
