'1000-lb Sisters': 5 things you need to know about TLC's reality show featuring the Slaton sisters
'1000-lb Sisters' on TLC finished airing its Season 2 finale on Monday night, March 8 and fans are already in a tizzy after what they saw in the last thirty seconds of the episode. Jerry Sykes bailed on Tammy Slaton and it was revealed that the two are on a break now. The show's audience now wants to know what is next in the life of Tammy and her sister Amy Slaton, a new mother, who also is at high risk due to her 300lbs+ weight.
For the uninformed, the Slaton sisters were famous even before the network gave them a show of their own. They used to be YouTube celebrities and their fans have always treated them with a lot of love, however, Tammy's attitude that's sometimes "rude" towards the people who care for her has not been appreciated. Since the show started airing, she has received a lot of hate online because of the choices she makes when it comes to food and her romantic relationships.

Who stars in the '1000-lb Sisters' series
Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton
The show has documented Tammy's struggles, however, nothing has helped to gain the sympathy of watchers who believe she's responsible for the situation she is in. She addressed this hate on an episode saying that it hurts her to read the comments that people write about her on the Internet, however, people continue having their opinions about her. For instance, her breakup with Jerry along with her constant weight gain and coming to terms with her food addiction too didn't work in her favor as far as the opinion of the audience about her goes. The audiences seem to hate her but their love for the show remains unshaken and Amy, their brother Chris Combs, Amy's husband Michael and her son Gage continue to rake in all the love and there are no doubts that there is going to be another season.
Season 3 will feature Chris Combs, Michael Halterman, baby Gage, along with Tammy's new boyfriend, Phillip. Season 3 also sees Tammy lashing out at her other sister, Amanda, who has appeared in previous seasons as well.
What is '1000-lb Sisters' all about
As per the Season 3 synopsis -- With her weight spiraling, Tammy makes the game-changing decision to check herself into rehab for food addiction, but her stay there may be short-lived as she considers the best way to reach her goals. She also appears to be talking to a new love interest, which is cause for concern for her family, as relationships have hindered Tammy's progress in the past. Amy is dealing with her own stress, and while her dreams came true when she became a mom to son Gage, balancing the demands of motherhood with her own weight-loss goals may prove to be impossible. Meanwhile, the sisters' brother Chris had reached the goal Dr. Smith set for him to be eligible for bariatric surgery but after a setback following a procedure to remove a boil from his leg, he fears he has blown his chances for life-saving surgery. Facing another check-up with their doctor, Tammy and Chris must both face the music and see whether their progress qualifies them for weight-loss surgery."
