'Daredevil: Born Again': New photos from Season 3 set reveal Wilson Fisk's major transformation
Brand new photos of Vincent D'Onofrio from the set of 'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 3 are making the rounds online. The images reveal a side of Wilson Fisk unlike anything fans have seen until now. In these new shots shared by Daredevil Shots on X, Fisk has abandoned his signature shaved head and exquisitely tailored white suits. Instead, he looks rugged in a grey overcoat and a casual beanie, sporting a thick, full white beard.

This is the first time we see Vincent with facial hair in the character's 11-year MCU history, a significant departure from his usual buttoned-down, formal appearance. What's notable in these images is the background that features campaign posters for Sheila Rivera, confirming that Fisk is no longer the Mayor of New York and has likely lost significant power. In Season 2, episode six, the antagonist's political empire collapsed after his wife's death. While Daredevil managed to land a knockout blow on Fisk during their confrontation. The victory was short-lived as Fisk was neither locked up nor dead. With two episodes left in the season, these photos have fueled speculation about the character's fate.
Without proper context, it's hard to determine how the story would unfold. However, given that Venessa was the most important person in Fisk's life, her death would certainly divert him from his path. Whether he becomes a better man or descends deeper into darkness is to be seen. Sheila Rivera's posters as a Mayoral candidate also imply a significant shift in New York's power structure. This change is notable, as several characters from the 'Daredevil' corner of the MCU are set to debut in upcoming films, as seen in the 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' trailer, which featured 'The Punisher.'
Vincent D'Onofrio had played Kingpin/Wilson Fisk in the three seasons of Netflix's Daredevil. His performance garnered universal acclaim, leading to his continued roles in 'Hawkeye,' 'Echo,' and 'Daredevil: Born Again.' However, many fans feel that the character has been overused and would like to see the blind lawyer face a new villain. 'Daredevil' comics, which first appeared in 1964, feature many iconic antagonists who can take center stage if the creators decide to do so. However, there is no denying that filling D'Onforio's shoes as the prime villain would be no joke. 'Daredevil: Born Again,' season two episode 7 titled 'The Hateful Darkness' will be released on Tuesday at 9.00 p.m. Eastern Time on Disney+.
