So far in 'John Wick'

The world-famous assassin John Wick can't catch a break it seems. His nemesis, the Baba Yaga, is now set on pursuing the deadlier path as the world of John Wick is getting bigger and grandeur with each sequel. When the Lionsgate Films' franchise kicked off, the movie had a budget of approximately amount of $20–30 million. The first movie had to overcome several obstacles including the longer runtime of 1h 41m that reduced the number of shows a theater could screen and its R-Rated content that shrunk the film's audience. However, triumphing over these odds, the movie became a massive success. An instant classic, the first movie subsequently paved the way for the expansion of the franchise with sequels. The first 'John Wick' earned about approximately $86 million at the box office And by the time the next instalment of 'John Wick 2' was filmed, the budget rose to approximately $40 million, with the runtime increased to 2 hours and 2 minutes. The movie garnered approximately $171.5 million at the Box Office. The third instalment, 'John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum' had a budget of approximately $75 million, with a runtime of 2 hours and 23 minutes and had a blockbuster collection at the box office garnering about approximately $327.3 million, tripling the budget of the movie. So far, Chapter three of the franchise holds the highest record for the box office. And now with the fourth chapter of the action film releasing, the expectations are at an all-time high.

Expected budget for 'John Wick: Chapter 4'

Though the official budget of 'John Wick: Chapter 4' is yet to be confirmed, Screenrant has predicted the official budget of the upcoming movie, with the calculations and patterns from the previous threequels' "growth rate," in terms of the budget and the box office. The estimated budget for 'John Wick: Chapter 4' is expected to be around $90 million. So in order for the upcoming instalment to win at the box office, the movie has to make between $180 million to $225. But this amount can be easily achieved at the box office and it even has the potential to cross the $500 million mark easily, given how invested the franchise's audience is. It is to be noted that the runtime of 'John Wick: Chapter 4' is confirmed to be 2 hours and 49 minutes, which is the longest runtime of any of the movies in the franchise so far. Let us wait till John Wick takes down the box office as well.

'John Wick: Chapter 4' is set to release exclusively on March 24, 2023, in theatres and in IMAX.
