MOSCOW, IDAHO: In connection with the murders of the four University of Idaho students, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen and Ethan Chapin, Washington University PhD candidate Bryan Kohberger was arrested in December 2022. He was slapped with felony burglary and four counts of first-degree murder charges.

However, there's not much known about the background or ethnicity of the alleged person behind the quadruple homicide that has shaken the nation to its core.

What is Bryan Kohberger ethnicity?

Bryan Christopher Kohberger is of Caucasian descent, as reported by newsunzip. He was born in Albrightsville,  Pennsylvania, on November 21, 1994, to Michael Jr and MaryAnn. He spent most of his life in the Lehigh Valley. He has two elder sisters, Amanda and Melissa.

Where did Bryan Kohberger study?

Kohberger dropped out of Monroe Career and Technical Institute in Bartonsville after graduating from Pleasant Valley High School in Brodheadsville in 2013, as per FoxNews. He later graduated with an associate's degree in psychology from Northampton Community College in Bethlehem in 2018 before enrolling at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, where he earned his BA and MA in Criminal Justice in 2020 and 2022, respectively. He had just finished his first semester at Washington State University in Pullman, where he was a PhD student in criminology and a teaching assistant, when he was detained, as per the NewYorkPost.

What led to Bryan Kohberger's arrest?

The DNA on a knife sheath retrieved from the crime scene, according to the probable cause affidavit, connected Kohberger to the killings. Investigators pulled a sample of his DNA from the trash at his family's Albrightsville home on December 27, 2022. The samples taken from his parents' house matched those discovered at the crime scene, according to the Daily Mail.

When is Bryan Kohberger's trial?

Kohberger was initially detained in the Monroe County Correctional Facility without bail. On Wednesday, January 4, after a brief hearing, he was extradited to Idaho. On January 12, Kohberger appeared in court in Idaho. His preliminary hearing will take place on June 26. His defense team asked the court for additional time to prepare for the case, but he waived his right to a prompt preliminary hearing, as per MEAWW.
