The new season of '1000-lb Sisters' has revealed that Tammy Slaton is on the verge of death. Dr Procter who was helping her to lose weight and eventually get weight loss surgery that is very pivotal to improve the quality of life she's leading fired her as his patient. He no longer wanted to work with her because Tammy needed stricter observation and with his clinic being in Houston, it was impossible for him to monitor her health. To top that, Tammy's unwillingness to stick to the program was devastating to him and he knew that he couldn't help her anymore. For the uninitiated, Tammy was asked to lose 50 pounds in order for her to get cleared for the surgery. She failed miserably while doing so but also ended up heavier than she was before.

Tammy tried to follow the program initially but she said that the lockdown hosed down her motivation to stick to it. She fell off the bandwagon and kept eating things that she wasn't supposed to and kept on popping those "sodie" cans to her heart's fill. She had moved close next door to her sister Amy Slaton and her husband Michael. She did this so Amy could help her with her day-to-day activities, fans saw this move as selfish especially after Amy announced she was expecting a baby and she still had to dedicate the majority of the day to taking care of her sister. Amy and Tammy's brother Chris has stepped up during these times and decided to support Tammy by going on a diet himself to keep his sister motivated. However, from the looks of the upcoming episode, it looks like he and Amy have lost faith in their sister and are most likely to abandon her after the unthinkable happened when Tammy gained 50 pounds in 30 days.

What happens on the upcoming episode of '1000-lb Sisters'?

In the trailer, both Chris and Amy are talking about this mammoth task ahead of Tammy that is losing 100 pounds. Both of them agree that this is impossible because she couldn't lose 50 pounds earlier and added another 50 to it and Tammy being able to do it successfully, in their opinion, is unlikely.

"She don't know how to control her portions. It's to a point where I want to pull my hair out or want to pull her hair out," Amy says feeling exasperatingly helpless. Chris chimes in saying, "If she gets to a point where she can't get around by herself because of the weight gain, it'd be like having a very large infant child." He later adds that they need to start looking for an assisted-living facility for Tammy.

Amy is scared about the prospect of having to choose her baby over her sister but the frustration, stress, and the feeling that Tammy has given up already has left her with no choice. Chris assures her that they needn't lose weight and that they need to be as supportive as they can towards Tammy but not at the cost of putting themselves second.

Do you agree with the Slaton siblings? Are they making the right decision by looking around for an assisted-living facility for Tammy? Sound off in the comments.
