NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Establishing herself as a model, designer, and style icon, Vice President Kamala Harris's stepdaughter Ella Emhoff is now raising funds for Gaza.

Ella Emhoff promotes $8M Gaza fundraising campaign
Using her 318,000 Instagram followers, 24-year-old Emhoff — whose father is Jewish — posted a fundraising campaign on her account with the tagline "supporting urgent relief for Gaza’s children."
According to ProPublica, the nonprofit Palestine Children's Relief Fund, situated in Kent, Ohio — which pulled in over $21 million in 2021 — is running the fundraising campaign by Emhoff and has raised over $7.8 million so far.
It says nothing of the Israeli youngsters who were among the 1,400 Israelis killed on October 7 by the militant group Hamas.
It's unknown how much Emhoff has contributed directly to the cause.
House Homeland Security Committee member Rep Jeff Van Drew predicted that Hamas would be able to embezzle any humanitarian aid that reached Gaza.
Van Drew remarked, "It’s of tremendous concern and I find it abhorrent. To be honest with you, I am kind of stunned by it. It’s disturbing to the maximum degree," per the New York Post.
Ella Emhoff is a self-employed fashion designer
Emhoff is a fashion designer besides having worked with some of the greatest names in the industry. The artist graduated in May 2021 from the esteemed Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Emhoff focused her fine arts studies on clothing and textiles. She debuted a limited-edition knitwear line with Batsheva Hay in the spring of 2021, and Emhoff told Vanity Fair that there were plans for an original collection in the works.
Emhoff declared on Instagram in January 2022 that she would continue making knitwear under her own brand, and mentioned that later that year her first "knit drop," would be available.

Since signing a contract, she has appeared in runway shows for Proenza, Miu Miu, and other designers, and modeled for labels like Balenciaga. She has also posed for prominent fashion publications like Vanity Fair.
