Jen Psaki snubs Peter Doocy's question on Keystone pipeline job losses, Internet says 'she won't last too long'
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has found herself to be the subject of discussion for irate netizens on Monday, February 8. Psaki mocked reporter Peter Doocy for asking a question on the "green jobs" promised by President Joe Biden for workers who were working on the canceled Keystone XL pipeline.
The New York Post reckoned that almost 11,000 jobs will be lost following the President's decision to immediately shut down the construction of the pipeline that was supposed to transport oil from Canada to Texas. The result, it says, would be "leaving South Dakotans reeling and 1,000 people immediately out of work."
Shifting back to Psaki and Doocy: "Where is it that they can go for their green job?" the Fox News reporter asked. "That is something the administration has promised and there is now a gap so I’m just curious when that happens when those people can count on that?" Doocy further added.
Psaki's response was quick: "Well, I’d certainly welcome you to present your data of all the thousands and thousands of people who won’t be getting a green job.” She snarkily added, "Maybe next time you’re here you can present that."

Doocy's question continued: "But you said they will be getting green jobs. I’m just asking when that happens?" he asked, noting a report compiled by the Laborers’ International Union of North America that found 1,000 union jobs on the pipeline project would "immediately vanish".
This left netizens fuming as the concern wasn't ideally addressed. "She is awful. Laughing or sneering at a politely phrased question stating the concerns of constituents is such poor form. As a side note the VP promised there would be mine reclamation jobs." This was seconded by another who wrote: "She needs to respect the reporters who are simply doing their job."
Certain segments also felt Psaki's stint would be a short one. "Jen can’t answer a lot of questions and, instead, deflects and refers to people who can. She won’t last too long," read one of the comments.
"So unprofessional and @jrpsaki lack of knowledge is truly astounding. So she stops to mocking, making weird faces and it feels like she's the clueless substitute teacher in High School who's just there for the paycheck. @PressSec is all wrong for this position," remarked one user.

Meanwhile, there were also a few who felt Psaki was just doing her job. "I’m still trying to figure out if this reporter asks bad questions on purpose or if he’s trying really hard and can’t quite get there," read a tweet. Some felt mocked wasn't exactly the word to use. "I think mocked is not what happened. And if it was a fox news reporter he's lucky he even got a chanch to ask a question unlike most reporters when Trump was in office."
"Isn't 'reporter' being generous, if we don't mention the blatant nepotism? He lives to troll her on a daily. And yet unlike her priors, she takes the podium everyday," one of the tweets suggested.

Another 10,000 construction jobs that were expected to be created have also been shelved by Biden’s decision.
