OLALLA, WASHINGTON: Authorities are desperately searching for a suspect behind the brutal murder of a local couple who owned a popular brewery.

The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help to find 40-year-old Shaun D Rose, who is suspected of a double homicide on Thursday, August 18. Sheriff’s Lt Ken Dickinson revealed on Saturday, August 20, that investigators had obtained a warrant for Rose's arrest after he became the prime suspect in what police are calling the "brutal" deaths of Steven and Mina Schulz, both 51, who owned and ran E2W Brewing, a home-based “nanobrewery” on their property in the 12900 block of Shady Glen Avenue Southeast in Olalla, near Seattle.

As reported by The Seattle Times, Lt Dickinson said their bodies were found on the property on Thursday evening when their daughter stopped by and found evidence of a break-in at a home on the property and blood inside. She immediately alerted the authorities and responding officers found the bodies elsewhere on the property. While detectives are withholding the cause and manner of the couple's deaths pending an arrest and interview of the suspect, a news release said the Schulzes died from "homicidal violence."

Dickinson said the Sheriff's Office is actively seeking assistance from residents or businesses in Port Orchard who might possess video footage of the area around Bowe Lane from Thursday morning. Investigators reportedly believe Rose stole a vehicle there to flee the area, but the vehicle has since been recovered. The Sheriff's Lieutenant said Rose is believed to be "hiding in the Pierce County or Tacoma area,” and warned that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, adding that any sighting should be reported to law enforcement immediately.

The Schulzes reportedly owned a limited-liability company called Sail On In, which was doing business as E2W Brewing, per filings with the Washington Secretary of State’s Office obtained by the Times. The brewery's Facebook page states that it most recently sold its wares at the Bremerton Summer Brewfest the weekend of July 16, where its signature Strawberry Ale won first place in a vote by beer drinkers who attended the Gig Harbor Beer Festival in May.

MEAWW previously reported how a California woman and her ex-boyfriend were found dead days after they went missing earlier this month. The bodies of Janette 'JJ' Pantoja, 29, and Juan Almanza Zavala, 36, were discovered near their car that crashed down an embankment in Nevada County on Wednesday, August 17, according to the Nevada County Sheriff's Office. The former couple, who broke up years ago but remained friends, was last heard from on their way home from the Hot August Nights car show in Reno, Nevada but they never made it back. Pantoja's family alerted police shortly after her August 6 disappearance that her phone last pinged in the area where the car and bodies were found 11 days later.
