NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: With the arrival of the internet, it has gotten easier for individuals to reminisce about events that were previously the talk of the town. On Twitter, one such episode from the past appeared to have resurfaced. It centers around CNN host Don Lemon's assertion that Flight MH-370 may have been sucked into a black hole.

During the broadcast at the time, Lemon mentioned the claim that had first been made by a curious person with the Twitter handle @oosheene. The Twitter user who was curious about where Flight MH-370 went missing wrote, "What else you can think? Black hole? Bermuda Triangle?" The claim made by the user seemed to defy the principles of physics, but Lemon remarked, "I know it's ludicrous — but is it preposterous."

'I absolutely love their theories'

Mary Schiavo, a former Inspector General for the US Department of Transportation, responded, "Well, it is. A small black hole would suck in our entire universe so we know it's not that. The Bermuda Triangle is often weather... So I think — I always like things for which there’s data history, crunch the numbers. So for me those aren't there."

Schiavo, however, praised viewers for trying to find solutions, despite how speculative and unproven they might be. She said, "I think it's wonderful that the whole world is trying to help with their theories and I absolutely love their theories."

'Don Lemon went past his prime'

Many on Twitter are now reflecting on this time and expressing their thoughts there. One person wrote, "Don Lemon went past his prime when he seriously wondered if that missing Malaysian plane got sucked into a black hole."

A second person wrote, "Never forget that not so smart person Don Lemon also openly speculated that a black hole opened up on Earth and swallowed the missing Indonesian airliner a few years ago." Another who felt Lemon and the black hole doesn't get much attention wrote, "The Don Lemon MH370 black hole theory is one that doesn't get enough attention."

"To be fair, Don Lemon hasn't been in his prime since he suggested a black hole might have been responsible for the disappearance of a Malaysian Airlines passenger jet," another individual wrote. "The demographic Don Lemon and CNN caters to: 'Could a 'black hole' explain Malaysian Flight MH370 mystery?'" another person wrote.
