'Tyler Perry's Assisted Living' Episode 4 Preview: Is Grandpa Vinny getting arrested?

Grandpa Vinny's got some stuff going on in his backyard, and creepy as it might sound, it only makes him cooler than one would think of

Grandpa Vinny is quite something. Not only has the old, grumpy man used up all of his grandson Jeremy's inheritance, leaving him dirt poor on 'Tyler Perry's Assisted Living', but he has also bought a tattered, dilapidated, run-down old home as a business establishment. But there's more to Grandpa Vinny than his love for "nasty" magazines and finding the fault in almost everything.

Grandpa Vinny's recreational activities on the side might just send him straight to prison, as Jeremy's wife Leah hints at her worst fears in the upcoming Episode 4. Titled 'Assaulted', Episode 4 sees Jeremy contemplating being a little too harsh on his grandpa. All he wanted was to suggest the old man get a proper renovation done for the new venture Jeremy has no choice but to engage in.

Jeremy feels like he might have come too strong on his grandpa, but soon something else requires their attention and focus. According to the official synopsis by BET, there's an incident that happens at the assisted living facility being run by the duo. Grandpa Vinny thinks the police should be called, and even does so, to get the authorities to intervene and handle the situation at hand, but Leah reminds him that this might not be the smartest move to make. Why? Purely because of all the hidden affairs in grandpa Vinny's backyard.

Creepy as it might sound, Grandpa Vinny is way cooler than that. When not fussing over whatever's in sight, he likes to indulge in a little growing of the Mary Jane. That's right, this is a weed growing, uber-cool grandpa right here, and proud as he might be of his greenery on the side, one can imagine what it would result in if the police were ever to find out.

This is oddly reminiscent of that Season 2 episode of Showtime's hit dramedy 'Shameless' where Veronica Ball had forced her husband Kevin to throw away tons of marijuana plants as she feared being a Black woman, getting busted for growing weed on her property will never be easy to shrug off. Leah probably has similar concerns for grandpa Vinny and worries the cops coming over will result in an evident look around the property, effectively the backyard.

In an exclusive interview with MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) with J Anthony Brown, who plays the role of Vinny, he did tease a bit about Vinny having been to jail. So here's hoping there's something super dramatic coming up. 'Tyler Perry's Assisted Living' airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on BET.
