ACCRA, GHANA: Twitteratis are getting into a strong war of words after a teaser of his upcoming music video was released where the rapper Meek Mill is seen at Ghana’s presidency. The rapper shared on his social media on Sunday, 2023, giving a taste of what to expect from his new track, as per the local media. The teaser shows Meek Mill rapping in various places at the presidency called the Jubilee House, which appeared to be the main corridors, in the main conference hall - at a point positioned behind the lectern, and also in a sitting area.
The artist was in the country in December for a gig at the just concluded Afro Nation concert over the Christmas holidays. However, this definitely didn’t go well with Ghanaians who reacted strongly to the choice of location for his new video on Twitter. One wrote, “All those responsible for this despicable desecration of the Jubilee House by Meek Mill must be fired immediately. How do those explicit lyrics from the president’s lectern project Ghana positively? Is Ghana’s seat of government no longer a high-security installation?”. Jonas Nyabor tweeted, This video of @MeekMill
at the Jubilee House, Ghana's presidency is irking many Ghanaians. Monday rant came so early... Ɛyɛ ogyaaaa🔥”

Following the heat from social media, the philanthropist has taken down his controversial video. He has claimed that his phone had been stolen at an event, fighting off hoodlums before getting on stage to perform and meeting with the president at Jubilee House, reports AfricaNews.
He also got support from Mike Baggz, who tweeted, “Our brother Meek Mill went to #Ghana to show love and connect with the African people, and just like clockwork the Ghanaian people are now ATTACKING him and disrespecting him for shooting a music video at the Flagstaff House.” It generated quite a few reactions too, “Bro are you for real? Do you think we are attacking Mill because he came to Ghana? Can you as a citizen of America shoot a skit at the white house? Please let's stop being hypocrites,” one replied. To which, he responded with a clip and caption, “Yes a citizen of America can, rap, sing, perform, and film it in the White House.” Another Twitterati supported Meek, and called out, “Guess it doesn’t matter where in the world you black people going to find a way to tear you down.”
