Trump attorney Michael van der Veen's Philadelphia house vandalized, 'traitor' spray painted in red on driveway
Former President Donald Trump's defense attorney Michael van der Veen's home in Philadephia was reportedly vandalized last Friday night. Fox News reported that van der Veen's wife spotted the word 'traitor' spray-painted in red on their Chester County home's driveway along with an arrow that pointed towards the home.
On Saturday, van der Veen told Fox News, "My home was attacked. To answer your question, my entire family, my business, my law firm are under siege right now. I don't really want to go into that, though." Since the incident, the van der Veens have hired private security with Scott Pezick, a detective of the West Whiteland Township Police Department, telling the outlet that they had not noticed any disturbances after "several patrols" were driven by the home. According to reports, Pezick also said that the graffiti was reported at around 8 pm and they have "been showing a police presence to deter anything from happening.”

Refuse Fascism demonstrators chanted outside Michael van der Veen's law office
The people or person responsible for the vandalism is not known; as of now there have been no arrests nor are there any suspects. Besides this incident, it was reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer that a "group of demonstrators with the group Refuse Fascism" set stage outside of van der Veen's downtown Philadelphia Center City law office calling him a "fascist" as they chanted, "When van der Veen lies, what do you do? Convict. Convict". The criminal justice reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Julie Shaw, took to Twitter to post a video of the demonstrators outside of van der Veen's office. You can watch it below. After the video, Shaw added that the "noon protest ended after an hour."

Van der Veen isn't the only one to go through this as another one of Trump's lawyers, Bruce Castor, also revealed that his home was vandalized as well. Castor told Fox News on Saturday, "It’s been very unsettling. Mr. van der Veen’s house was vandalized last night. My house was the subject of unrest. These people are lawyers and they expect to do their jobs without having fear for their personal safety."
The publication also reported that some other Congressional leaders' homes have also suffered the same fate. The home of Mitch McConnell, Senate Republican leader, in Louisville was also vandalized last month with graffiti which read, "WERES MY MONEY. MITCH KILLS THE POOR."
This incident reportedly occurred after Congress failed to approve an increase in the amount of money that was to be sent to people amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's home in San Franciso was also vandalized with spray paint, with a message that read, "Cancel Rent? We want everything!". Disturbingly, it was also reported that there was also fake blood and a pig's head left near her home.
