TikTok has quickly become a platform for trendsetters and influencers to showcase their creativity and connect with a massive audience. Unfortunately, this has also led to the rise of "TikTok cringe" trends, which are often simultaneously amusing and painful to watch.

From awkward dance moves and lip-syncing mishaps to bizarre fashion choices and questionable makeup tutorials, these cringe-worthy videos show the weird and wild side of TikTok culture. Although some users love mocking these trends, others argue that they provide a necessary outlet for self-expression and entertainment during difficult times.

1. Silhouette Challenge

This viral trend started off innocently enough with users participating in a fun challenge to show off their dance moves. However, things took a strange turn when some users began using red filters and wearing revealing clothing during the challenge. This led to some uncomfortable moments and even harassment of participants who did not wish to objectify themselves in such a way.

2. Rubbing Under Tongue

All you have to do is rub your tongue's underside after pressing the tongue's tip on the roof of your mouth (around the veins and slimy corridors). Some who tried it reported that it gave them the sensation of caressing a willy. Such an odd and stupid fad, but given that TikTok is involved, what do you expect?

3. Tooth filing Challenge

Have you heard of the tooth filing TikTok trend? It's a viral sensation where individuals file down their teeth using nail files to create a more uniform and symmetrical smile. While the trend has gained popularity on social media, it is important to note that dental professionals have voiced their concerns about potential damage to tooth enamel and sensitivity.

4. Rotoscope Filter

Rotoscoping (or "roto") is a term used in the animation business to describe the process of manually or digitally monitoring keyframes to mimic a subject's natural movement. The filter employs the same method to transform humans into vibrant silhouettes. It is meant to be entertaining and harmless—until someone uses it to subtly expose their genitalia.

5. Methylene Blue Trend

Methylene blue, which is thought to have anti-aging effects, is being promoted as a supplement by health experts in an effort to improve cognitive abilities, increase metabolism, and even treat Covid-19.Typically, this chemical is employed in science labs and as a cleaning for fish tanks. Of fact, there hasn't been a scientific study demonstrating its advantages for people.
