Not every company operates continuously at full capacity. In fact, the longer a company has been in business, the more difficult it is to win over everyone's hearts. A business must not only satisfy the wants of its clients but also thrive in a competitive market. There will always be peaks and dips.

These businesses certainly have some positive qualities, but in recent years, several of their actions have drawn criticism and consumer outrage on social media. Here are the top 5 brands customers hate the most.

1. Wells Fargo

As one of the largest banks in the nation with roots dating back to 1852, Wells Fargo has branches and ATMs virtually everywhere. The bank has, nonetheless, come under fire in recent years for a variety of reasons. Although its overdraft costs are expensive, what matters more is that its staff have been proven to have engaged in criminal activity for close to 20 years, including overcharging clients, establishing fictitious accounts, improperly seizing vehicles, and foreclosing on homes.

2. Uber

People claim that Uber has violated safety and labor laws, intimidated rival businesses, and endangered its drivers. Additionally, wait times and pricing have both considerably increased in some places despite Uber's assurances that they would remain low.

3. Lego

Parents are less enthusiastic about Legos than children. Over 70 years have passed since the invention of Legos, and we once enjoyed playing with them. But back then, all of the construction that we did was in our mind. Many parents feel that Lego's numerous tie-ins to other businesses—including Marvel and Disney—for more expensive kits deprive children of the option to build something from scratch.

4. Netflix

Netflix's prices have increased as a result of the addition of original programming. This has also sparked debate because some viewers claim the network's programming is violent, blatantly sexual, or just plain offensive.

5. Nestle

The Swiss giant Nestlé, which produces up to 8,000 culinary products, is most commonly associated with the delectable chocolate of our childhoods, yet it has been under fire for everything from terrible labor practices (including child labor) to environmental infractions.
