CHINATOWN, LONDON: There have been theories about people who can travel through time and teleport. A young TikToker seems to have stumbled upon one of them when she posted a video of herself in which a man seemed to appear out of nowhere in the backdrop. The video has left people hyped and amused in equal measure. Fashion graduate Tara Lee Page, 23, uploaded a video of herself in Chinatown in London's West End as other people passed by in the background.

A man is seen approaching her alone on her left-hand side with a stroller in the beginning of the video. As she is facing the camera and is in the middle of the shot, when he appears on her right-hand side, he suddently has another man accompanying him.

Page posted the videos to her TikTok account with the caption, "Where does the second man come from? POV: living in the matrix." She suggested in the video that the man was a "time traveler" or that he might have "teleported" into the picture. It is quite obvious, however, that there is a rational explanation for this but that did not other users from going gaga over the video.

'He is a wizard obviously'

Many who watched the video left comments about the second man. A user commented, "You are in London, he is a wizard obviously." Some people did point out that the video may have been edited to show the man appearing out of nowhere. Page replied, "I can confirm the video is not cut, it’s just a screen recording of a Live Photo and I thought it was weird." Another user said, "The video is cut stare at the pram man’s legs." A third wrote, "Wait does he not just shrink and swap sides of the pram? But then a different man appears too?" Another added, "The second man walks toward the girl from behind which is out of frame. The first man is walking across." Yet another chipped in, "Another thing I noticed is that they both have a hand on the pram but they’re hands are crossed over."

Is teleporting possible?

While sci-fi and fanatsy have numerous examples of teleportation, scientists have said it was now achievable in the real world through quantum mechanics at a subatomic scale, far away from what is described in books and movies Teleportation in the quantum realm involves the movement of information rather than physical objects. When two far-off, entangled particles are involved in quantum teleportation, the state of a third particle instantly "teleports" to the two entangled particles, as per the National Science foundation.
