LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kevin's (Kal-El Tuck) time travel adventures are heating up as a new twist shakes up his world in Apple TV+'s 'Time Bandits'. Based on the film of the same name, the show follows Kevin, a young boy who often feels like an outcast due to his geeky demeanor. However, Kevin's world changes dramatically when he meets a group of time-traveling bandits who possess a unique map.

It has now been established that the map possesses immense powers, which are being sought after by two powerful entities, the Supreme Being (Taika Waititi) and the Pure Evil (Jonathan Brugh). To retrieve the map, Pure Evil sends an unusual and sinister figure named Fianna (Rachel Home). Fianna continually attempts to seize the map but always falls short. However, in episode 8 of 'Time Bandits,' a startling revelation about Fianna transforms the situation dramatically.

Why there are two versions of Fianna in 'Time Bandits' Episode 8

In 'Time Bandits' Episode 8, Kevin and Saffron (Kiera Thompson) travel to Bingley in 1996, where they plan to warn their parents about the future. Meanwhile, two versions of Fianna also make an appearance. The presence of these dual Fiannas is a result of the complex nature of time travel.

One Fianna has been relentlessly pursuing Kevin and the Bandits across various time portals, as we've seen throughout the series. Meanwhile, the second Fianna was confined to the Ice Age by Pure Evil, remaining dormant until her reawakening in 1996. As a result of the split in the timeline, both versions of Fianna exist simultaneously in Bingley in 1996. This presents a significant challenge for Kevin and the Bandits as they attempt to save his parents.

What two Fiannas mean for Kevin in 'Time Bandits' Season 1

The presence of two Fiannas in 'Time Bandits' significantly heightens the danger for Kevin, Saffron, and the bandits. In Episode 8 of 'Time Bandits', as Kevin and his companions gear up to rescue his parents from Pure Evil, they face a critical task: finding the missing piece of the map that reveals Pure Evil's location.

However, with two Fiannas in play, Kevin and the Bandits face twice the danger. Each Fianna works independently to sabotage their efforts, making it far more challenging for Kevin and the Bandits to maintain a strategic advantage.

Moreover, the presence of two Fiannas could lead to further time disturbances, potentially compromising the reliability of Kevin and the gang's time travel and complicating their ability to manage the outcomes of their missions. With only two episodes remaining, it will be fascinating to see how Kevin and his band of unconventional thieves confront the challenge posed by the dual Fiannas.
