TikTok filters are one of the most popular features on the platform, offering users the ability to add a unique twist to their videos. These filters can range from simple effects like adding text or changing colors, to more complex ones that transform your face entirely.

Have you seen the latest TikTok craze? It's the ‘old age filter’, and it's taking over the app. The filter allows users to see what they might look like as an elderly person, complete with wrinkles, gray hair, and age spots.

The 'Cool Old' filter

It's a two-step process, as Hanna (@curatingcontentmarketing), a TikTok creator, explains in her video. She starts by saying, "You're going to want to download FaceApp." It is the best program to make you look aged and it is free.

"Apply the ‘cool old’ filter to a recent photo of yourself while you're on FaceApp and save it. Return to TikTok and look for a video where it indicates the utilization of the CapCut template and where this trend is being used. Click here," she instructs.

Make sure to prioritize your older image above your younger image. And there you have it, voila! Although ‘Forever Young’ by Alphaville has been added frequently, you are free to use any other audio.

Hanna also offered a video on how to go around that if you're having difficulties using FaceApp for free and/or finding the ‘cool old’ filter on the app.

'Old age filter until he looks like your grandma'

The outcomes have been well-liked by TikTok users. In the video posted by user @cyberquince, someone wrote, "OK, but you both look even more beautiful with age." Another individual said, "Life looks beautiful on the both of you."

Netizens also took to Twitter to share their videos. "I put Luke’s face in an old age filter and… My God." Another tweeted, "I've put the old age filter on 4 UK battle rappers. Can you guess them all?" While one more user said, "Progressively running a picture of Michael Cera through the old age filter on faceapp until he looks like your grandma."
