After the video went viral, the viewers got pretty curious and asked Maddy to explain the whole situation and narrate the story to them and Maddy obliged. She told that she had been sent to the hospital by her OBGYN as her pregnancy was highly risky and she was not in her ninth month.

She said, "I am only 25 weeks pregnant so I am on their high risk- they just want to take extra precautions with me. The hospital has been completely crazy- the ER was packed, labor and delivery were packed." Next she shared that at first, everything was great as she and her ex's wife were sharing the room. She said, "So it was all great at first and (her partner) Cody and I got our room, it was great."

Further, she added, "I literally told him that the last time I was here I had to share a room with someone and it was a horrible experience because she just kept yelling the whole time." Since the ward was very busy, they were told to share the room in which Maddy's ex-boyfriend and his wife walked in.

Maddy recalled, "Then they walk in... We make eye contact. Luckily there's a curtain in between us but it was just so awkward- I just felt like I could not talk. So Cody and I were literally sat there whispering." She informed viewers that he was not a recent ex. The two had dated each other while they were in high school.

One of the viewers found her incident relatable and wrote, 'I would simply pass away." Another person reacted and said, "That is what I would call small town bull sh*t." Her audience found the incident shocking as well as hilarious at the same time. They laughed out as Maddy narrated her story.
