LAPLACE, LOUISIANA: People on the internet are praying for a LaPlace woman and her family as news about her horrible situation, thanks to Hurricane Ida, was shared on Twitter. The condition of LaPlace worsened after Ida arrived in Louisiana as a monster Category 4 storm. The woman has been identified as Tiffany Miller, who was interviewed by WDSU's Aubry Killion while being stuck in an attic along with her family members.

Sharing the pictures of the woman and her family in distress, Killion wrote on Twitter, “I just interviewed Tiffany Miller she is trapped in her attic in Laplace. This is unreal. She is located at 94 Bamboo Rd LaPlace LA 70068 @wdsu.” Also, while speaking with the reporter, Miller said she and her family hid inside their house’s attic after the weather conditions began to deteriorate outside.

The woman also stated that she believed 3 feet to 5 feet of water had collected there in the homes in her subdivision. Miller insisted that she will continue to live inside the attic until the wind dies down. She said, “The cellphone service is going in and out, and we lost our ability to see what's going on on the radar. When we got in the attic, the water was right below my knees. For the water to get that high in my house, the water outside needs to be at least waist deep,” before mentioning that the region needs a number of boats for rescue operations since she believes there are more people who are stuck in their homes and attics. “I know that we're not in it by ourselves and it's going to be OK. When the conditions are safer, check on your neighbors” she added.

Sharing their thoughts on Miller and her family’s distressing condition, a user tweeted, “I hope they have an ax and i pray there will not be elderly people on the streets, dead in their wheelchairs, or a crying mother holding their heat stroke suffering baby while begging a news guy 4 water.” The second user wrote, “Prayers. SOS IDA. Survival swim in rough wateTREAD WATER. Conserve energy! Stay floating. Keep breathing. Keep your feet slightly up so you don’t get caught on something. If upright kick down to keep your head up.. Stay above the water, find highground.”

A person asked, “Can she get out and get to the roof????” Another one said, “God bless, praying for everyone from the PNW.” “Govt should have had them evacuate,” the third one added. “The Cajun Navy is in Laplace!. #Laplace Contact Cajun Navy 504-517-6289 985-850-4638 They have started making rescues. Leave this information on the voicemail if no one answers. Name Address Contact number What's needed How many individuals How many pets Any special needs,” a tweet stated.

Another tweet added: For every one who isn't informed, the Cajun Navy is currently in the Laplace area. They are however requesting that those of you who are in a attic, move to somewhere (IF POSSIBLE) that your flashlight can be seen. Wave it repeatedly, so they can detect the signal & come to get u.”
