'This will be said only once': Elon Musk's ultimatum to Twitter staff against leaking info to press
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: After asking the staff to work for long hours or take severance, Elon Musk has now sent a stern email to Twitter staff members, informing them of dire legal repercussions should they breach nondisclosure agreements by exposing business secrets to the media. Musk has asked staffers to sign a pledge indicating they've understood the mail and reply to it by 5 pm on December 11.
Zoe Schiffer, the managing editor of Platformer, has revealed the contents of the email via a Twitter thread. “As evidenced by the many detailed leaks of confidential Twitter information, a few people at our company continue to act in a manner contrary to the company’s interests and in violation of their NDA,” Schiffer wrote, sharing the email contents in a Twitter thread. “This will be said only once," Musk warned, "If you clearly and deliberately violate the NDA that you signed when you joined, you accept liability to the full extent of the law & Twitter will immediately seek damages.”

Musk says occasional slip-ups are understandable "but breaking your word by sending detailed info to the media" with the intent to harm Twitter "will receive the response it deserves." Employees have by 5 pm today to respond, Zoe noted. Schiffer revealed that she was not going to post the exact email address for the reason that Twitter was doing everything to catch the source. "I am choosing not to post the actual email as it's clear Twitter is doing everything it can to catch sources."

The email comes amid the release of a series of internal communication documents what they call the 'Twitter Files'. Reports say House GOP leaders are in contact with Elon Musk to testify before the House Oversight Committee as part of their broader probe into President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. James Comer (R-Ky), the incoming chairman of the House Oversight Committee told the New York Post, "We will roll out the red carpet for Elon Musk.”
Musk during the release of the third part of the 'Twitter Files' by independent journalist Matt on Friday said that old Twitter leaders were a "Democratic party activist machine" while also stating “unequivocally true” that his company censored President Trump in the days before the 2020 election. “The evidence is clear and voluminous.” “Election interference by social media companies obviously undermines the public’s faith in democracy and is wrong,” he also reportedly defended the FBI when it worked closely with Twitter in 2020, New York Post reported
