'This Is Us' Season 6: Who's Johnny Kincaid? Fans demand 'Emmy' for Baby Jack's performance
The latest episode of ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 made us witness some really heart-breaking moments between Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan). Their relationship got worse and came to a point where they could not stop taunting each other. However, the moment that made out hearts stop happened when Baby Jack (Johnny Kincaid) left the house and started walking toward the park because Toby and Kate forgot to lock their respective doors.
Toby realized that something is wrong and they finally got to know that Jack is not in the house. Prior to that scene, Jack was talking to his grandmother Rebecca (Mandy Moore), telling her how mommy and daddy always keep fighting with each. He looked sad and told his grandmother that he wants everything to be good. He also showed her his red rubber boots that he wears when he goes to the park. When Rebecca doesn’t see those shoes in the room, she tells everyone that Jack has gone to the park. She finds him on the sidewalk as he fell to the ground.

Fans labeled the episode a “tear-jerker”, but they could not stop raving about Kincaid’s acting. “Baby Jack” started trending as soon as the episode started and fans flooded social media with so many praises for the young star. So, who is Johnny Kincaid? Let’s take a look at if he has appeared on other projects as well or not.
Who is Johnny Kincaid? Meet ‘Baby Jack’ from ‘This Is Us’
The 3-year-old star made his acting debut with the NBC series ‘This Is Us’ and hasn’t been attached to any other projects. Kincaid is a patient with Albinism and Low Vision. For the uninitiated, Albinism typically refers to “a group of inherited disorders where there is little or no production of the pigment melanin.” It also plays a role in the development of optic nerves, so people or children with albinism have vision problems.
According to Mayo Clinic, the most recognizable form of albinism results in white hair and very light-colored skin compared with siblings.
However, that doesn’t stop Kincaid from having all the fun. His mother, Marisol Kincaid, is quite active on Instagram and frequently shares Johnny’s photos and videos on the image-sharing platform. She recently shared a photo from tonight’s episode and revealed that Johnny did a lot of “preparation” for the episode and can’t wait for everyone to see it.
“Johnny did a lot of work and prep for this episode and we know you are all going to love it! We are so proud of our little actor and we think this is just the beginning for him,” Marisol wrote.
She also shares motivational stuff for other parents who have kids with the same condition.
People can also check out the albinism.org website to know more about the condition and help people by donating to the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation.
Fans demand an "EMMY" for Kincaid's performance
‘This Is Us’ is known for remarkable casting and Kincaid’s performance is just another example of it. Personally, I have never seen a toddler have to carry an episode of TV the way Johnny Kincaid does in this one. Fans flooded social media with praises and said that he deserves an Emmy for his performance.
One of the fans wrote, “Baby Jack aka Johnny Kincaid needs an Emmy! Wow. So young, actually blind, and such a great actor!” Another fan wrote, “Johnny Kincaid is the absolute cutest, best little actor there is! Great, Great performance!”
