DAVIS COUNTY, UTAH: 25-year-old Chase Allan was allegedly shot 12 times during a routine traffic stop in Davis County, Utah. Chase Allan was gunned down by five policemen from the Farmington Police Department on Wednesday, March 1, who claimed that he failed to comply with them.
Allan was stopped by the police over an illegitimate license plate of his blue BMW 3-Series, parked outside a local post office. Police claim the 25-year-old refused to step out of the vehicle and when they attempted to exit him out of the car, he had a gun with him, prompting the police to discharge their weapon. The fatal shooting unfolded in a quiet neighborhood, which was swiftly alarmed by the rounds of gunshots.

One witness next door claimed that when the gunfire erupted she thought she heard a box dropping, while another person claimed she immediately recognized it was gunfire. "I’ve heard gunshots before and was like, there's gunshots outside my window," said a neighbor anonymously, according to KUTV. The woman said she heard scores of gunfire erupt back to back in a row. "I counted eight distinct shots," she said, "but I think there were likely more, but they were happening so quickly."
The woman claimed she could tell more than one person was firing the weapon. "I just knew it was too close together to be one person with those shots," she said. Although when the woman went to inspect the ordeal, it was over. "I heard one of the officers say, 'we got five shooters,'" she said. "By then, the firetruck was there, the medical teams." People who live in the neighborhood of the crime scene were all alerted and shocked by the tragedy.
'The entire block was shut down!'
"There was a lot of chaos," said Matt Larson, a resident of the area. Another person who was on his way to pick up his children from school said he had walked the crime scene right before and after the incident occurred, adding that it all happened in split seconds. "I saw nothing until I came back," he said, "which was literally five minutes later, and the entire block was shut down, and the EMTs were doing their thing." The Farmington Police Department has launched an investigation into Allan’s death and placed the five police officers involved on administrative leave.
