'Not shot, MURDERED': Internet erupts in rage after Chase Allan shot and killed by police
DAVIS COUNTY, UTAH: The death of Chase Allan in a police shootout has left the nation divided on whether the 25-year-old was subject to police violence. Allan was allegedly shot 12 times during a routine traffic stop in Davis County, Utah, on Wednesday, March 1.
Allan was shot inside his blue BMW 3-Series by five police officers from the Farmington Police Department. The police officers involved were reportedly instructed to turn off their body cameras just minutes after the fatal shooting.

'Police are stonewalling us'
Allan's family reportedly expressed their doubts about his death. "Police are stonewalling us. Our family has not been permitted to see Chase and has not been contacted by authorities or justice departments with information surrounding this investigation," a statement from the family read. An investigation is underway and the five police officers have been placed on administrative leave.
'This is murder'
Furious netizens took to social media to express their rage. A user tweeted, "Release the Bodycame and dash cam footage. Let us see what happened! The vagueness in police reports concerns me. Free the information free the truth!" Another added, "Chase was studying Law. He knew & respected his rights very well. Just watch when they say that he didn’t have a gun on him. This is devastating for everyone that knew him." A third tweeted, "Those 5 officers should be charged with murder."
A fourth chimed, "Unless the police felt their lives were in danger, or he was about to cause I’m violent danger in the community. This is totally unwarranted. We cannot let the police feel like they can kill someone like this, and not be held accountable. Be transparent the family deserves that." "Got shot for not 'complying'? You’re joking right? So if a cop demands I get out of my car and I refuse then that means I deserved to be gunned down? This is ridiculous. This is murder," read a comment. Another user claimed, "I really want full disclosure from Farmington. I want to know where the gun was in the vehicle etc. It is not illegal to carry a visible firearm in your car. Lots of questions."
