The music in a film or TV show may frequently determine the final product, as the proper tune can give a scene just the vibe it needs. While much of it takes place on a desolate island, Amazon Prime Video's 'The Wilds' is a series that employs music to make us grin, weep, or create some edgy moments.

Season 2 of 'The Wilds' was released on Amazon Prime Video on May 6, 2022. Following the jarring cliffhanger at the end of season one, 'The Wilds' adds more shocks in its second part as the girls deal with Nora's absence and Rachel's awful wounds as their island isolation continues. Nevertheless, when the girls learn more about their participation in Gretchen's nefarious experiments, they discover that they aren't the only ones marooned, as another group of teens also endure the same fate.

Season 2 of 'The Wilds' features some significant pop tunes as well as a few classic hits peppered throughout. 'The Wilds,' which premiered more than a year ago, expands on the first season's finale twist in the current season by introducing a group of guys while also following up on the girls' final days on the island — or so they think. A significant portion of 'The Wilds' Season 2 takes place on the island, where the boys and girls battle to live, but by the end of the season, things have flipped, and they are united against a single adversary - Gretchen Klein. If 'The Wilds' Season 3 does happen, they will have to go through more survival challenges before they can return home.

But not everything in 'The Wilds' is depressing. There is levity and moments when the lads and girls enjoy each other's company, and those scenes are usually accompanied by a song. Fans are as impressed with this season's music selection as they are with the writing, direction, acting, and camera work. The 'The Wilds' fandom erupted when they discovered that the first episode of the second season featured songs by both Taylor Swift and Halsey! They took to Twitter, refusing to hold back their delight. One fan wrote: "the wilds season 2 soundtrack is amazing like taylor swift and halsey in one episode: amazing"

Another viewer wrote in gratitude: "i would like to personally thank whoever decided to put epiphany on the wilds soundtrack"

The music, however, was not limited to Halsey or Taylor Swift. "Vois sur ton Chemin," a song by Bruno Coulais, was also included on this season's soundtrack. This was quickly noticed by a fan, who tweeted: "NO WAY THEY USED “VOIS SUR TUN CHEMIN” BY FAR THE BEST PART OF THE SEASON who’s in charge of the soundtrack i want to thank them you’re so great #TheWilds"
