LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) of 'The Walking Dead' have reunited after over five years in its latest spin-off series 'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live'.

After the bridge explosion in season 9 of the original series, Jadis Stokes (Pollyanna McIntosh) handed over Rick to CRM where he spent his five years working as a consignee before getting promoted as a soldier.

Michonne discovered compelling evidence suggesting that he survived the explosion and embarked on a relentless quest to locate him. After an arduous journey, she finally found him, but in dire circumstances.

In Episode 3 of 'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live', Rick Grimes comes to know that Michonne has come under the radar of Major General Beale (Terry O'Quinn). He panics and makes an escape plan for Michonne.

He places her sword and a note in a locker and directs her to a canoe by the river. He stages her fake death by arranging a corpse, tearing its face, and putting it in a consignment uniform.

Meanwhile, he guides Jadis to take over the investigation and reports that Michonne tried to escape, fell hit her head on the rocks, and eventually became a victim of the walkers.

On the other hand, when Michonne discovers that Rick will not be accompanying her, she decides to stay back.

On a CRM aircraft carrier, Michonne notices Jadis, but before she can ask any questions, Rick tells Michonne that she has to go back. He adds that everything they had is “broken,” and that he is getting her out of here whether she wants to leave or not.

On their way to the base, Rick and Michonne's helicopter encounters a violent storm. In a daring move, Michonne jumps from the helicopter, dragging Rick with her.

At this point, even Michonne is not sure if they will safely escape CRM.

Three episodes of 'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live' are available to stream on AMC+.
