John Legend, who was trailing behind in the second round of ‘The Voice’ Season 21 blind auditions, got lucky in the third episode after adding two new voices to his team. Keilah Grace and Samara Brown chose Team Legend after they both left the judges speechless with their respective thrilling performances.

The Filipino-American singer Keilah Grace sang ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ by INXS and got thumbs up from all the judges except Blake Shelton. Kelly Clarkson was the first one to turn around her swivel chair. Legend, took his time to turn around as he did not press the red buzzer until the young singer took it all to the top. Ariana Grande was the last coach to turn around as Blake Shelton decided to sit out for this one.

Keilah Grace picks Team Legend

The judges were stunned after they got to know that Keilah had such powerful and different voice at the age of 15. The New York native was praised by all the coaches after she finished her set on ‘The Voice’ blinds. “Your voice has a lot of energy. It just radiates from the stage”, said Legend. The ‘All of Me’ hitmaker added that he loves to work with artists like her who have a lot of potential. “You kind of reminded me of Olivia Newton-John kind of vibe”, said Legend concluding that she had a special place to shine on this show.

Kelly Clarkson and Ariana too agreed that Keilah had a powerful voice and was a passionate singer. Ariana added that even she started pursuing music at a young age- a common factor she shared with Keilah. Being humble enough Blake apologized for not pressing the buzzer. While many assumed Keliah would pick Ariana, she ultimately went for Team Legend after giving it a proper thought.

‘She’s only 15? No way!’

The fans of the singing reality show thronged to Twitter as soon as Keilah wrapped up her performance. One user claimed, “Keilah Grace is going to be the Voice winner that's my prediction she's awesome.” Whereas, another shared, “We get a blind take with a young Keilah Grace sounding like a rock star. The way she bends those notes and works the stage, so organic and very enjoyable. She’s only 15? No way!”

The next one noted, “Beautiful performance, Keilah Grace!” as another individual claimed, “That’s a winner right there!” One user said, “She was amazing! As soon as she started singing, I was saying 'John's gonna turn' and then I was like 'she's gonna pick John' .. it was the only choice from my vantage point. And she looked smart! So glad she made the best possible choice.” While, another concluded, “She’s incredible but choosing anyone other than Ariana is basically saying goodbye to her chances of blowing up … well hopefully Ariana steals her in the upcoming rounds.”
