'The Voice' Season 17 Top 13: Hello Sunday takes the wildcard spot in the Instant Save and fans find it unfair

With the duo heading to the Top 13 Live Playoffs, fans aren't happy with the decision, claiming that having a duo in the competition is a disadvantage to the others.

Hello Sunday advanced to the Top 13 Live Playoffs and fans aren't happy about it.

'The Voice' season 17 is headed for its Top 13 Playoffs. Returning on Tuesday night for the results, seven contestants were sent home, and 13 moved onto next week. One amongst the Top 13 contestants who advanced to the next round was Hello Sunday from Team Kelly who was saved after their wildcard performance.

Though Hello Sunday moved on to the next round, some fans aren't happy and are even calling it unfair and a disadvantage for the other contestants. 14-year-olds, Chelsea and Myla, auditioned and had only Kelly Clarkson turn her chair for them. Ever since then they have been on her team, making it through the Battle Rounds and Knockouts.

On Monday night's Top 20 Live Playoffs the duo performed their version of Adele's 'Hello'. When the series returned on Tuesday night for the results, sadly they didn't make it through the direct save, and Kelly chose to save Shane Q. But Hello Sunday made it to the wildcard round, where they had to perform once again for America's Instant Save vote.

They sang their rendition of 'All By Myself' by Celine Dion. It was a strong song choice, and they hit the notes perfectly. Though at the beginning they sounded a little off, they rose to the occasion and gave it their best. The icing on the cake was a massive note that they hit, which is probably what got them the votes from fans and viewers back home.

Now with the duo heading to the Top 13 Live Playoffs, most fans aren't happy with the decision, claiming that having a duo in the competition is a disadvantage to the other contestants because they have harmonies, that other contestants don't have. And if they had to compete solo, they surely wouldn't have made it past the other contestants.

Taking to Twitter a fan wrote, "A wildcard on #TheVoice, no. America you failed this season! Alex should have been saved, NOT Hello Sunday. It's called THE VOICE for the a reason, meaning ONE voice. That's it. That's all."

Adding to that another said, "The name of the show is The Voice not Voices. It is totally unfair to allow two voices to compete as one. Can other contestants sing harmony like Hello Sunday ? No #TheVoice."

"Don’t get me wrong... The Swon Bros are great and Hello Sunday is a good group of girls, but as long as the show is called THE Voice, I don’t feel like a duo should be allowed. There are too many amazing singers being sent home. It’s not The Voices... #sorrynotsorry #TheVoice," shared a fan.

While another said, "It's inspiring to see two people as young as Hello Sunday reach such a height in #TheVoice , but they did not earn their spot tonight with that strained, pitchy performance."

"I think hello sunday is talented but it's the voice, not the duo. I think it's unfair to have duos on this show. there are plenty of other talent competitions, I just personally think this one is for solo artists. 2 against 1 isn't fair," wrote a fan.
