UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: ‘The Voice’ Season 22 aired its second round of the knockout battles on Tuesday, and the stage was on fire. Contestants gave some of their all-time best performances to impress the coaches with their vocal chops. As usual, viewers were eager to see the effort of each and every contestant. But sadly, the makers did not feature all the participants in the episode.

Two unlucky contestants not only returned home but also lost their chance to have their knockout performances showcased on ‘The Voice’ Season 22. Reina Ley and Jaeden Luke were robbed of their opportunity to display their vocal talents as the show aired the second knockout battle with the two singers and the winner Eric Who. Even Eric’s full performance was cut short, with only a few seconds of his upbeat performance being aired, a fate that the singer has already suffered before during his blind auditions. Watch Eric's performance below.

It isn’t the first time that ‘The Voice’ has cut the performances short. The show had previously montaged several blind auditions and battle rounds, causing quite a controversy among its fans. Most viewers love watching the contestants’ backstories and behind-the-scenes footage. And montaging these aspects of the show takes a little away from the overall entertainment. But this time, performances were scrapped from the show altogether, leaving fans truly enraged as some of their favorite participants did not get any screen time. The show drew in some hefty criticism for its “insensitive” move.

The irked fans took to Twitter to express their disdain. An enraged fan expressed his opinion by writing, “This is so tone deaf to just fast forward through these performances. Give everyone equal time and take away some of the practicing crap and commercials!”

Another fan said, “Don’t even get to see the whole thing... Reina was my favorite this season and we didn’t even get to see her perform.”

One viewer noted, “Would’ve liked to see the others performed. At least give us 15 seconds of the performance. Then gonna ask which artist we like… crazy man.”

Another fan penned, “Really? This is not ok-you didn’t give any respect to the other 2 artists- not even a clip. Not cool - not cool.”

One fan expressed disappointment by stating, "Congratulations to Eric. But I am SO DISAPPOINTED that we did not get to hear Jaeden Luke sing.”

A fan called out the show and said, “What the hell are you doing this season? I wanted to hear him sing the entire song. Why have you skipped battles and knock outs?”
