'The Voice' 21 Finale: 'Hologram BTS' opens night with Coldplay but glitches irk fans

The grand finale of 'The Voice' Season 21 is finally here, and the showrunners pulled out all stops to ensure that the big night is a memorable one by roping in some of the top artists in the industry for a performance. The opening act was by none other than Coldplay and K-Pop sensation BTS. As Chris Martin began crooning their new song 'My Universe' suddenly the boy-band members popped up on the stage.

It took a moment for fans to realize that the BTS wasn't really there, but instead, it was their hologram. Even though the performance was pretty good, fans were, however, both amused and annoyed over the way the BTS' hologram kept glitching during their performance. Several fans took to Twitter to call out the showrunners for the glitchy holograms of their favorite artists.

A fan wrote, "What in the Metaverse was that performance? Lol They had BTS sing live… digitized? #voicefinale." Another fan tweeted, "They know they couldve gotten better bts holograms #thevoice." "What in the weird BTS is this?!? It’s like a glitch in the universe! #TheVoice," commented a fan. "Anybody else feel #robbed that BTS isn’t there live? #TheVoice #VoiceFinale I mean, the holograms are kinda cool but… ijs," expressed a fan.

Another fan wondered, "Why bts graphics glitching like that lmaoo #TheVoice." "What is happening? BTS is a hologram and Coldplay is pretending to see them… 2021 still getting worse #TheVoice," declared a fan. "The voice spent their entire budget on ariana grande and couldnt afford to have better holograms for BTS lmao #thevoice," joked a fan. "#thevoice #btsarmy hologram bts wow i did thought they were actual there for a sec i almost screamed then i realize it was holograms lol," added a fan.

The other celebrity performers for the finale night included Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande etc. One of the contestants from the top five performers- Jershika maple, Paris Winningham, Wendy Moten, Hailey Mia, and A Girl Named Tom, will be titled the winners of the season.
