Vince Staples is denied a business loan
Vince Staples encounters another episode of racism as he walks into a bank with a need for a business loan. The never-ending chuckles of the staff and the absurd reasoning of the manager leaves Staples disappointed.
Things get interesting when a group of armed robbers break in the bank and one of them turns out to be an old friend of Staples. The rapper is now isn't the only Black man in the bank.
Vince Staples strikes a deal amid bank robbery
While the terrified White hostages wait for rescue, Staples has a friendly catch-up with the robber. Using his relationship with the thieves as leverage, Staples strikes a deal with the bank manager (Matt Oberg).
Meanwhile, Staples manages to access the vault and shockingly finds it empty. While the robbers sit in disappointment, Staples steps out of the bank disguised as a hostage, and the manager tags along.
Staples' chances of securing a bank loan appear bleak when the commandos mistake the manager for a threat. The confusion ensues when the manager innocently reaches for his pocket, a move misinterpreted in the tense situation.
The deal goes away with the manager's death and Staples' struggle as a Black man doesn't seem to end anytime soon.
