'The View': Meghan McCain slams Joy Behar for defending Michael Bloomberg and says she won’t give him a pass

On 'The View' Tuesday saw co-host McCain said, "You know what, you guys have done a p**s-poor job of convincing me that I should vote for a Democrat," before heading into a commercial break

Things became tense on Tuesday's episode of 'The View' as co-host Meghan McCain and Joy Behar butted heads over Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg. The tense exchange began after McCain took note of racially insensitive comments that were made by Bloomberg during an interview on PBS in 2011. Bloomberg had commented on Black and Latino males between the age of 16 and 26 not knowing how to behave at the workplace. Sunny Hostin, also took note of the interview and she clearly did not appreciate his comments and even went on to call him tone-deaf.

McCain then continued and brought up a report by the Washington Post about a lawsuit that claimed Bloomberg berated a female employee while she searched for a nanny. She read out what he had allegedly told his employee and added that if Democrats were to go for Bloomberg they wouldn't be able to take the moral high ground.

The story quoted Bloomberg as reportedly telling the employee, "It’s a f*****g baby! . . . All you need is some black who doesn’t have to speak English to rescue it from a burning building."

Then the two spoke over each other to make their points -- Behar brought up comments Trump made after the racially charged protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, but McCain took control of the conversation quickly by saying, "You know what, I just think it's so interesting that you have a problem that we are talking about a candidate the way we would any other candidate. He just happens to be at the top getting the attention right now, which is why we're talking about it right now."

She also commented that this is what they have been doing on the show and just because Bloomberg was seen surging in the primary polls doesn't mean she is going to give him a pass. She said, "What? I'm supposed to give Bloomberg a pass? Not on this show!" So then, Behar said she would like to know who McCain was going to vote for. McCain responded, "Who I vote for is none of your business but I am not voting for Trump and I sure as hell am not voting for Bloomberg."

Then McCain also said, "You know what, you guys have done a piss-poor job of convincing me that I should vote for a Democrat," before heading into a commercial break.

McCain continued after and said, "There's an impression in the media and from you that I'm getting that we should just give him a pass." While it wasn't clear who McCain was referring to, Behar defended herself and said, "She (McCain) brings up some of the bad side, I bring up some of the good side. That's all. That's what this show is about. It's called 'The View'."

McCain contradicted this too by saying, "I know, but you seem to have a problem whenever I have a different view."
