PARIS, FRANCE: Fx's current thriller series, 'The Veil', revolves around the exhilarating excitement of espionage and the enormous hazards involved.

Created by Steven Knight, the show revolves around two women, Imogen Salter (Elisabeth Moss) and Adilah El Idrissi (Yumna Marwan), whose lives become intertwined due to a catastrophic secret.

In the third episode of the show, Imogen skillfully plays her cards in an attempt to discover Adilah's actual identity while trying to uncover the truth behind her father, Marcus Seabright's (Phill Langhorne) murder.

What did Imogen Salter confess to Adilah El Idrissi in 'The Veil' Episode 3?

In the most recent episode, Imogen is successful in getting Adilah to Paris, but things are far from over since Imogen has a lot on her plate.

Later, Adilah draws a revolver on Imogen, demanding to know her true intentions.

Surprisingly, Imogen admits that she is in fact operating undercover to uncover Adilah's real identity—which is thought to be Djinn Al Raqqa.

Furthermore, she states that she does not think Adilah is the head of the dreaded terror group since the results of the DNA testing conducted on Adilah and her daughter Yasmina (Keyla Bara) confirm that she is not Al Raqqa.

Along with that, she sheds light on her background, revealing that her father was a British diplomat slain in Istanbul. She thinks he was murdered by the communal party of Turkey, which is controlled by the CIA.

Imogen expertly convinced Adilah that she was on her side and wanted her to live happily with her daughter.

However, Imogen's ingenious strategy was revealed when she discreetly met with Max Peterson (Josh Charles), admitting that she had been working with the CIA all along.

She makes it apparent to Max that she thinks Adilah is Al Raqqa, and she claims to have dirt on Max, threatening to reveal his secret if he does not assist her in uncovering the truth about her father's murder.

How does Imogen Salter's startling confession raise suspicion of her true intentions?

The most recent episode skillfully sheds light on Imogen's chameleon attitude as she successfully earns Adilah's trust while working on her back to reveal her real identity.

However, Imogen has her own goals, which are unrelated to the stressful effort of determining Adilah's genuine identity or working for the CIA.

She seeks to learn the truth about her father's death, whose flashbacks are regular in the series.

Her idea that her father was slain by Turkey's CIA-backed communal party adds a personal dimension to her grudge against the CIA, which may be tied to Adilah.

Overall, it is reasonable to say that Imogen's loyalties now lie with no one other than herself. She plays her cards wisely, manipulating things to her advantage.

Imogen may likely uncover additional bombshells as she delves further into the complicated network of deception perpetrated by the CIA and other intelligence organizations.

Also, if Imogen's web of lies gets exposed, her real intentions may finally be revealed, paving the way for a dramatic showdown with her foes.

Overall, it will be interesting to see what steps Imogen will take next to reveal Adilah's true identity while also covertly working for the CIA with her own purpose of uncovering the truth about her father's assassination.

'The Veil' Episode 3 is now streaming on Hulu.
