The five-episode miniseries, which is written by Steven Knight, follows Imogen Salter (Elizabeth Moss), an MI6 agent who takes on the difficult task of discovering Adilah El Idrissi's (Yumna Marwan's) true identity.

However, in this world of deceit, things are not as straightforward as they appear, as Adilah claims to be just an ordinary citizen, contrary to the findings of investigative agencies.

The first episode proved to be quite exciting and laid the foundation for the explosions that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Shortly after leaving the refugee camp, Imogen begins questioning Adilah about her journey from being a model to joining ISIS.

In response, Adilah reveals that all women and girls in Raqqah were imprisoned in a room where fighters would occasionally enter and exploit them.

She reveals that one day, she seized the opportunity and freed the Yazidi women before fleeing. In addition, she removed her niqab and began working in a camp for refugees, where she was able to make a positive impact.

Adilah also warns that if Imogen takes her to the Edip Koi camp, the fighters will undoubtedly kill her, as they are aware of her involvement in helping the women escape.

Meanwhile, DGSC official Magritte (Thibault de Montalembert) informs Agent Malik (Dali Benssalah) that intelligence in Syria has learned that a high-ranking female ISIS commander is a part of the breakaway.

He makes it clear that he believes Adilah to be the one high-ranking ISIS official, and that she is currently organizing a major attack on the West in the coming seven to eight days.

Malik assures Magritte that Imogen will discover Adilah's true identity.

Conversely, DGSC Agent Malik and American agent Max Peterson (Josh Charles) get into a heated argument when the latter questions Imogen's freedom of movement alongside a high-ranking ISIS member like Adilah and brings up Imogen and Malik's relationship.

They engage in a scuffle, only to be halted by two Army men who are taken aback to discover that the two individuals indulging in such behavior are high-ranking government officers.

In the meantime, when Adilah inquires about Imogen's past, she sees flashbacks of her with a man. However, Imogen remains tight-lipped and doesn't reveal any information instead says that she has lost something and wants to know why.

Adilah further reveals that she will be killed once she arrives at Edip Kro, prompting Imogen to take the Istanbul route instead.

Afterward, Imogen is seen conversing with Malik, who inquires as to whether she has discovered Adilah's actual identity. Imogen responds that she is still making an effort to uncover the truth.

Imogen is chastised by Malik for not following the instructions seriously, but she brushes it off and ends the call as she and Adilah prepare to leave without any concrete plans for the future.

Having established the foundation, upcoming episodes will likely reveal Adilah's true identity. Meanwhile, Imogen, a seasoned agent familiar with the field, continues to trust and travel with Adilah, despite her mysterious past.

Ultimately, it appears that the series has all the elements necessary to captivate its audience. It will be intriguing to discover whether Imogen's decision to send Adilah to Istanbul proves to be the right one, or if she ultimately regrets her choice
