Will Tracy is the creative force behind the series, which serves as a political satire, that delves delves into the fictional country's Chancellor, Elena Vernham (Kate Winslet), as she grapples to retain her grip on power.

However, under the influence of former soldier Herbert Zubak (Matthias Schoenaerts), Elena's challenges escalate further.

In the latest episode, 'All Ye Faithful,' the political landscape takes a dramatic shift as the Westgate Rebellion army strengthens its grip on the nation, further undermining Elena's authority over it.

Despite the challenges, Elena persists in her delusions, clinging to the belief that things will eventually turn out well for her, refusing to accept that her reign may be at its end.

Does everything, however, actually work out in her favor?

The episode picks up six months after the events of the fourth episode, during which Elena displayed her authoritarian tendencies in an attempt to suppress the Westgate protest.

However, amid the chaos of the civil war, Elena's attention is diverted to her romantic involvement with Herbert.

When her ministers try to alert her to the serious situation during a council meeting, she dismisses them, claiming that things would work out for the best.

Mr Singer (Henry Goodman) urges Elena to undertake a series of humanitarian initiatives dubbed 'Elena's Christmas Sack,' which will yield several reforms, providing one-time bonuses, and other public benefits.

However, she rejects the proposal for image restoration work, asserting that the state is undergoing a process of self-cleansing, and she prefers to allow events to unfold naturally.
