LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: HBO's ongoing political satire series 'The Regime' is set against the backdrop of a fictional European country where the Chancellor of the country is doing everything in a bid to safeguard her dwindling influence.
Created by Will Tracy, the six-part series is directed by Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs and features Kate Winslet, Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne, and Hugh Grant, among others.

In the second episode of the series, titled 'The Founding,' viewers witness the cunning schemes of Nicholas 'Nicky' Vernham (Guillaume Gallienne) as he conspires with others to orchestrate the inevitable downfall of his wife, Chancellor Elena Vernham (Kate Winslet).
Meanwhile, the introduction of a new plotline involving Corporal Herbert Zubak (Matthias Schoenaerts) being falsely portrayed as a descendant of the nation's founding members sets the stage for more drama in the upcoming episode.
In the third episode of the series, Nicholas hatches a plan to free his wife from the influence of the disgraced soldier, Herbert.
Moreover, serious repercussions are expected to unfold from Elena's recent meeting with American senator Judith Holt (Martha Plimpton), wherein she intimated the woman to escape the nation.
The forthcoming miniseries episode will also address the consequences of her decision to sever her ties with America.
When will 'The Regime' episode 3 air?
The fourth episode of the series, titled 'The Heroes' Banquet,' will air on Sunday, March 17.
Jessica Hobbs will be directing the episode, and Sarah DeLappe and Juli Weiner will work together on its writing.
The season finale of the show, which debuted on Sunday, March 3, is scheduled to take place on April 7.
