What is 'The Night Manager' about?
'The Night Manager', which is based on John le Carré's 1993 novel of the same name, follows Pine (Hiddleston), a former British soldier who is hired by a task group from the Foreign Office to investigate Richard Roper's (Hughie Laurie) operations with an arms dealer. Directed by Sussane Beir, the show's first season saw an ensemble cast of Tom Hiddleston, Hughie Laurie, Elizabeth Debicki, Olivia Colman, Alistair Petrie and Michael Nardone among others.
What does the future look like for Pine in Season 2?
Given that Season 1 of the show was a thorough adaptation of le Carré's book, it is uncertain how the plot of 'The Night Manager' will develop in Seasons 2 and 3. Once Laurie's Richard was taken into custody by the police at the end of the series, angry customers from his arms dealer network kidnapped him, seemingly condemning him to whatever fate they had in store for him. There were not many loose ends in the plot of the show as Jonathan returns to his previous life as a night manager. However, since Richard's fate was still a mystery, it is possible that he will appear again in Season 2 of 'The Night Manager'.
Jonathan might make a comeback in upcoming seasons of 'The Night Manager' to take on other projects from the British government. Future seasons of 'The Night Manager' may feature a more international plot as a result of Season 2's South American filming locations. While Season 1 of 'The Night Manager' primarily took place in Europe, with a few sequences taking place in Egypt and the Middle East, Season 2 may see Jonathan entrusted with elaborate tasks to increase the stakes.
