The last episode of 'Midnight' shows how Ilonka (Iman Benson) really believes that she was cured by the magic spell. But when Sandra (Annarah Cymone) bursts her little bubble, Ilonka gets upset and turns to Shasta for help. Shasta is living with a false identity as she really is Julia who went to Regina Ballard to get help and get cured — and she was cured. Regina Ballard is actually the owner of the mansion who got betrayed by her daughter as "Athena" didn't partake in her mother's wrongdoing before it got turned into a hospice. Ilonka was getting used and manipulated by Julia as she is sick again and she feels the 1968 magic that cured her would help her again. However, everything is stopped by Dr Stanton as she comes right on time to stop the ritual.

On the other hand, Dr Stanton is lastly identified as just not a regular caring doctor at the hospice but is the daughter of Regina Ballard, who used to be known as Athena, and the house belonged to an old aged couple, Oscar Stanley Freelan and Vera Freelan whose ghosts were wander the halls of the hospice.
