Spoilers for 'The Haves and the Have Nots' Season 8 Episode 2 - 'Power of the Purse'

With a new episode of 'The Haves and the Have Nots' on Oprah Winfrey Network this week, we begin with Derrick (Keith Burke) going over to Katheryn Cryer's (Renee Lawless) home to speak to Hanna Young (Crystal Fox), who now controls Katheryn's assets since the latter is in prison and gave Hanna the power of attorney.

Derrick keeps insisting he is a Christian and all he would like to do is talk to her. But for Hanna -- who only learned in the fifth season that Derrick is the man who raped her many years ago and thus impregnating her with Candace Young (Tika Sumpter), she only wants him out of there. With control of Katheryn's assets, she fires Derrick and calls the police when he refuses to leave, and eventually, he does agree to leave. However, at the front porch, as Derrick reluctantly leaves, the police show up.

While Hanna says that Derrick is leaving, it seems like the police can sense something is wrong or could be they want to see the ID of a Black man on whom they were called at a large house. Derrick refuses to show his ID at first, but when he is forced to do so, the police inform him there's an outstanding warrant against him, and Derrick is taken away by the police.

We have been seeing a new side of Hanna this season with her being given the power to all of Katheryn's assets. Last week, we saw her trying to make sense of accounting and this week, Hanna was standing up for herself with pride and fans could not help but appreciate it.

One fan tweeted, "Hanna was like oh well and turn around to go back in the house when they said ole boy had a warrant out for his arrest! #HAHN." Another wrote, "@Only1CrystalFox Hanna that wasn’t Christian like threatening that man like that.....going to send him to see Jesus before his time. #HAHN."

Fans were also upset with Derrick for forcing Hanna to talk to him just because he regrets what he did to her. A fan wrote, "Derrick needs to understand Hanna don’t like you, nor care for you. Ya raped her and she’s still healing from that. #HAHN." Another tweeted, "#HAHN. Derrick you know that you are dirty no good so and so leave Queen Hanna alone. And no you haven't changed, you are trying to rob Queen Veronica blind from all of her money and assets." A fan noted, "I can’t believe .. or actually I can believe that some of y’all on here saying Hannah shouldn’t be acting like that with Derrick as if he didn’t f**king r*pe her #HAHN."
