It appears that Morgan Reznick’s difficult times are not going to end anytime soon. First, she gets diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and tries to keep it under wraps. But such conditions do not remain a secret for long and it starts interfering with her daily life. Almost every day has become a fight for the young resident, struggling to push herself through the days, while she deals with patients and their serious conditions. Despite seeking treatment from Dr. Aaron Glassman and that too quite discreetly, Morgan’s RA is not getting better.

As if she had not had enough complications in life already, her mother suddenly appears out of nowhere. We do not know much about Morgan’s family history, except that she chose to stay away from her folks and has been successfully doing so for years, until now.

In the trailer of the upcoming episode ‘Sex and Death’, we see Morgan’s mother turning up at the hospital while she is at work. And as expected, Morgan is surprised and confused about the reason for her visit. And then, even before either of them get to interact further, her mother collapses. Soon, she is admitted and diagnosed with possibly some complicated sickness, which we will probably discover when the episode airs. Meanwhile, as soon as she gains consciousness, the mother-daughter duo has some unaddressed issues to resolve.

Later, as the flash-forwards show, Morgan’s mother seems to be on the edge with her condition and might not survive. In a very emotional scene at the end of the preview, we see Morgan holding her mother as the old woman goes into convulsions. This is the moment that makes us think that the young doctor has some intense situations ensuing in the upcoming days.

Here's a peek at what could come for Dr. Morgan Reznick in the upcoming episode of 'The Good Doctor'.

First, seeing her estranged mother out of the blue and then instantly losing her, could put her through severe trauma. And to add to all of that emotional stress, she has her RA to deal with. How will she cope with everything that is going on in her life? Can Morgan face the harsh realities as life keeps unfolding one crisis at a time?
